Bruce Griffith served in the United States Air Force and as an officer in North Carolina’s Highway Patrol. When he retired, he founded Griffith’s, Inc, which came to be known as Griffith Security. Our beginnings were small, first providing officers to perform fire watch and loss prevention services for Hickory’s flourishing furniture and textile manufacturing companies.
We grew to meet Hickory and Catawba County’s rapidly growing economic opportunities, evolving and expanding our company’s roles and services to accommodate the demand for security related functions.
Today, Griffith Security is operated by Bruce and Brenda’s sons, Britt and Brad Griffith. We provide 98% of our region’s private security needs, making us the region’s largest privately held security firm in Western North Carolina.
Our employees are like an extended family – many of whom have been with us for generations, or have worked for our company at some point in their lifetime. From young men and women looking to gain work experience, to students looking to earn a little money while in school, to retirees who enjoy being active, Griffith Security had become and remains a foundation and fixture in our community.
